FEATURED ARTIST - KENNETH O'CONNELL

In Honor of the relaunch of our new website, we thought it would be a good time to feature an artist near and dear to the Copic family. Professor Emeritus Kenneth O'Connell is the President and founder of Imagination International, Inc. Kenneth has taught art since 1966 at all levels from Middle School to University and adults.

He is an artist who has produced over 17 short films and videos, exhibited his film work internationally, and filled over 67 Sketchbook/Journals with drawings and color sketches. He teaches workshops on Sketchbooks in Oregon and Italy each year.

All of the works show here are from his recent sketchbooks and use COPIC Markers and multiliners. Many were done on his recent trips to Japan and Italy. Some of his sketchbook pages also use the COPIC airbrush system where the markers fit into a air grip and a fine spray of ink is made by the air flowing across the fiber nib. This is used in combination with other Copic Markers and Multiliner pens. Kenneth also uses sticky notes as masks when airbrushing the page to control the area of color. The multiliner pens that he uses are both black and the sepia colored.
