are we allowed to use paint?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Yes! You can use any materials you’d like. At least one Copic product must be used in the piece in some way, but it’s up to you how much or little it is used. Good luck!

  • Leslie

I want to enter this so badly! But, the requirement is to USE copic markers to WIN copic markers?! I don’t get it, I don’t HAVE any markers, that’s why I want to win some! :’((((

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Leslie! The contest requires using at least one Copic product, so even just one Copic marker or pen is fine, if you can get your hands on one! You’ll just need to describe how and where it was used on the entry form; it doesn’t need to be a large part of the piece. Hope that helps!

  • Pattie Crenshaw

Do the contest qualifiers have to travel to Eugene?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Pattie! No, out-of-area winners wouldn’t be expected to travel to Eugene :) If the winner were local it would be great to see them at the unveiling, but otherwise there is no expectation. Good luck!

  • Hannah

Is there an age limit? cause I am 13.

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

      No age limit!

  • Hannah

Do we make it on copy paper, and then scan it to attach the artwork?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

You can use any paper you’d like! The entry will need to be scanned and attached to the online entry form.

  • Hannah

ok, one more question Do we print out the template and draw it on there?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

The template is just meant to show you the aspect ratio of the image (the very narrow, tall format). Just try to meet that ratio as closely as possible, but no need to draw within the template. Good luck!

  • Alyssa

When we scan our artwork from an 11 x 14 or 11 x 17 paper, do we have to upload it as a jpg file or pdf? and what are the size requirements for uploads?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

The entry form will accept most file types; JPGs and PDFs are both fine. There are no size requirements for the initial entry, but the winning piece must be submitted at 48″x104″ at 200dpi. The larger you can submit your entry, the better, so that the judges can zoom in and check it out. Good luck!

  • KELLY

Hi, Can multiple images be submitted or just one? Thank you!

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Kelly! You may submit multiple images. Good luck!

  • Karoline Krones

    that’s so unfair…
could you do only once a contest in wich people from other countrys could participate too?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Karoline! We are the Copic distributor for the United States & Canada, and unfortunately we’re prohibited from shipping product/prizes outside of our region. We wish we could include everyone!

  • mille anne

Why is it only for usa and canada? .. :(

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Millie! We are the Copic distributor for the United States & Canada, and unfortunately we’re prohibited from shipping product/prizes outside of our region. We wish we could include everyone!

  • mynaturallycurlyhair

I know it’s a little late in the game to ask, but does the picture need to be portrait? Or can it be landscape?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

The entry needs to fit this ratio as closely as possible, to fit the side of the building the winning entry will be hung from: bit.ly/entrytemplate

  • Lou

Can you do multiple entries of the same picture? Like scanned as one entry, picture as another?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Lou! Please submit each piece of artwork only once. If you have access to a scanner, a scanned version of the artwork would be best. Good luck!

  • Kim

Can the artwork be made on two sheets of paper and then put together on the entry submission?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Kim! If you’re able to scan both sheets and make it appear to be one seamless piece, then that’s not a problem. Good luck!

  • Becky Penn

I submitted, but I’m not sure it went through. I’ll get an email confirmation, right?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Hi Becky! On our end it shows that you entered on June 10th. You should have received an email confirmation – It may have gone to your spam folder.

    • Becky Penn

That was the giveaway, so I will resend my color entry.

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Ah, you’re right! I looked in the wrong database. For this contest, I currently don’t seen an entry from you. Thanks for checking!

  • Brandis Gonzales

Hello! Ive been workinv on a peice and usually I use copic multiliners, scan them into my computer and color it digitally. Just wanted to confirm if that was alright considering I am using copic markers for the lines?

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

Yep, that’s just fine! The entry form will ask what Copic product(s) you used and how – Just jot down that info, and you’ll be good to go :) Good luck!

  • Emmi

In my submission, i don’t think i specified which side of my poster was the top. If i didn’t does it matter? (the way it was scanned it looks sideways, but it’s actually should have been turned on its side.

    • http://www.copicmarker.com/ Kacy @ Copic Marker

      No worries! Good luck! :)

  • alyssa
